Founded September 2004 by Jalani Horton, the Bambú Station Foundation is an outreach of the Virgin Islands band, Bambú Station (www.bambustationband.com). The Bambú Station Foundation is a non-profit organization whose sole mission is to positively impact the lives of people through it’s programs “Chance To Grow,” “Stand Firm” & “O.N.E. Day Festival.     Chance To Grow is a program designed to help performing artists realize their social and personal impact on the community. Events are usually of an intimate nature and are held in a wide array of venues including classrooms, churches, prisons, shelters and parks. Chance To Grow is designed to impact both artist and audience alike and encourage substance in musical offerings.   Stand Firm is a workshop for men. It’s focus is to help men develop their communication and parenting skills and address or highlight other issues relative to the male population and experience.   O.N.E. Day Festival, (Our. Nurturing. Efforts.) is a one day spring festival that celebrates the artistic expressions of the world community. Exhibitions range from film, visual, painting, dance to music.
